let the diameter of earth be x
moon= x/4
Now
surface area of moon/surface area of earth.
=4 pi (x/8)^2/ 4 pi (x/2)^2
=(x/8 / x/2)^2
=(1/4)^2
=1/16
moon= x/4
Now
surface area of moon/surface area of earth.
=4 pi (x/8)^2/ 4 pi (x/2)^2
=(x/8 / x/2)^2
=(1/4)^2
=1/16
