The diameter of earth = d
A.T.Q the diameter of moon is = d/ 4
Surface area of earth = 4 pi r^2
= 4 multiply 22/7multiply (d/2)^2
= 4 multiply 22/7 multiplyd^2 /4
Surface area of moon = 4 pi r ^2
= 4 multiply 22/7multiply (d/4)^2
= 4 multiply 22/7 multiply d^2/16
Ratio = 4 multiply 22/7 multiply d^2/4 : 4 multiply 22/7 multiply d^2/16
= 1 : 4
