Solution :

Given diameter of the Sun

= 1.4 × 10^9 m

diameter of the earth = 1.27 × 10^7 m

Ratio of diameters= (1.4×10^9)/(1.27×10^7)

≈ 1.1 × 10^9-7

We know the Exponential Law:

a^m/a^n = a^m-n

*************************************

≈ 1.1 × 100

= 110/1

= 110 : 1

Therefore ,

Ratio of diameters = 110 : 1
