Given : d of cone is 4.5 m
depth is 14m
To find: volume of the reservior.
Sol: We have,
diameter of reservior is 4.5m
∴ its radius is 45/20 = 9/4 m
∵ Volume of cone is 1/3πr²h
∴ Volume of reservior is 1/3 *22/7 * 9/4 * 9/4 * 14
= 33*9/4 m³
= 198/4 m³
=99/2 m³
∴ Volume of reservior is 99/2 m³
In terms of litre, we know
1m³ = 1000 litres
∴ 99/2 m³ = 49500 liters
∴ The volume of reservior is 49500 liters or the reservior can hold 49500 liters of water

Diameter of cone = 4.5 m = 45/10 m
Radius = 45/20 m = 9/4m
Depth = height of the cone = 14m
Volume of cone = 1/3πr²h
Volume of reservoir = 1/3 x 22/7 x 9/4 x9/4 x 14= 198/4 m³=99/2 m³
∴ Volume of reservoir = 99/2 m³
1 m³ = 1000 liters
99/2 m³ = 99/2 x 1000 = 49500 liters
Radius = 45/20 m = 9/4m
Depth = height of the cone = 14m
Volume of cone = 1/3πr²h
Volume of reservoir = 1/3 x 22/7 x 9/4 x9/4 x 14= 198/4 m³=99/2 m³
∴ Volume of reservoir = 99/2 m³
1 m³ = 1000 liters
99/2 m³ = 99/2 x 1000 = 49500 liters
