Diameter of wheel =35cm
Radius of wheel =35/2 =17.5 cm
Circumference of wheel =2×22/7×r =2×22/7×175/10 =110 cm

Thus,
The wheel will cover 110×1000 =110000cm or 1.1 km

Given: The diameter of the wheel of a car is 35 cm and it takes 1000 revolutions.

To find: We have to find the total distance covered.

Solution:

Given that, the diameter of the wheel of a car is 35 cm.

We know that the formula of the perimeter of a circle is given as 2πr.

Where r is the radius of the given wheel.

So, the perimeter of the wheel is as follows-

2×22/7×35/2=110cm.

The wheel covers 110 cm distance in one revolution.

Thus in the 1000 revolution, it will cover the distance of 1000×110=110000cm.

Thus the wheel covers 110000cm in 1000 revolutions.
