Given:-

  • Diameter of a wheel cart = 140 m

To Find:-

  • Distance will the cart cover if its wheel makes 40 complete revolutions.

Formula used:-

  • {\boxed{\bf{Circumference\:of\:Circle=2\pi r}}}

  • {\boxed{\bf{Radius = \dfrac{Diameter}{2}}}}

Solution:-

Firstly,

\bf :\implies\:Radius = \dfrac{Diameter}{2}

\bf :\implies\:Radius = \dfrac{140}{2}

\bf :\implies\:Radius =70m

Now,

Distance travelled by wheel in one revolution:-

\bf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=2\pi r

\bf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=2\times \dfrac{22}{7}\times 70

\bf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=2 \times 22 \times 10

\bf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=440m

Now,

Distance travelled by wheel in 40 revolution:-

\bf :\implies\:440\times40

\bf :\implies\:17,600m

Hence, The Cart cover 17,600m if its wheel makes 40 complete revolutions.
