the circumference of the wheel = πd

= 3.14*2.1 = 6.594 m

distance covered by the wheel= 250*6.594

= 1648.5 m =1.648km = 1.65 km

answer==> 4) 1.65 km

Given :

The diameter of the wheel of a tractor is 2.1m.

To Find :

If the wheel completes 250 revolutions, find the distance covered by the wheel.

Solution:

Diameter of wheel = 2.1 m

Radius of wheel = \frac{Diameter}{2}=\frac{2.1}{2}=1.05 m

Circumference of wheel = 2 \pi r = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 1.05 =6.6 m

Distance covered in 1 revolution = 6.6 m

Distance covered in 250 revolutions = 6.6 \times 250 =1650 m

1000 m = 1 km

1650 m = \frac{1650}{1000}=1.65 km

Hence the distance covered by the wheel is 1.65 km
