Answer:

A1 = πr1²

= 2²π ( d1=4 cm ,r1= 2 cm)

= 4π

A2= πr2²

= 3²π

= 9π

A1/A2 = 4π/9π

          = 4/9

Ratio is 4:9

Answer:

4/9

Step-by-step explanation:

diameter d₁ = 4

∴r₁ = 2

d₂ = 6

∴r₂ = 3

As area of a circle = πr²,

∴ the ratio of their areas A₁/A₂ = πr₁²/πr₂² = r₁²/r₂²

= 2²/3²

= 4/9
