Heya

Let the radii of the two silver dics be r1 and r2 respectively.

Given :-

Ratio of diameters = 2 : 3

Now,

Ratio of radii = Ratio of diameters = 2 : 3

Therefore, r1 / r2 = 2 / 3

Now,

Area of 1st circle = π r1²

Area of 2nd circle = π r2²

Ratio :-

= π r1² / π r2²

= r1²/r2²

= (r1 / r2)²

= (2 / 3)²

= 4/9

Hence, ratios of their areas = 4 : 9.

Hope this helps.
