(i)-2(ii)

2x+y-10-2(x+y-6) =0

or, y-10-2y+12=0

or, -y=-2

or, y=2

now from (ii),

x+2=6

or, x=4

putting the value of x, y in the equation 3x-ky+8=0 we get,

3(4) -k2+8=0

or, 2k+12+8=0

or, k=(-10)
