The diameters of the lower and upper ends of a bucket in the form of a frustum of a cone are 10cm and 30cm respectively. If its height is 24cm, find the volume of water it contains. Also find area of metal sheet used to make the bucket.

volume of frustum of cone = 1/3 πh (r1^2 + r2^2 + r1r2)

= 1/3 x 22/7 (30^2 + 10^2 + 30 x 10)

= 1/3 x 22/7 (900+100+300)

= 1/3 x 22/7 (1300)

= 28600/21 = 1361.904 cm^3

this the bucket can hold 1361.904/1000 = 1.361 litres of water

hope it would have been helpful

thank u
