The diameters of two cylinders are in the ratio of 3:5. If their volumes are equal, find the ratio of their heights.​

Answer:

let diameter be 3x and 5x

since volume is same so

(volume of cylinder 1)/(volume of cylinder 2)=1

(πd1²/4)×h1=(πd2²/4)×h2

πd²1h1=πd²2h2

d²1h1=d²2h2

d²1/d²2=h2/h1

9x²/25x²=h2/h1

h2/h1=9/25

so ratio of heights will be 9:25 or 25:9. both are correct
