good afternoon***
IRRIGATION: the process of watering crop plants the field is known as irrigation.
there are four methods of irrigation. they are:
1) FURROW IRRIGATION: in this method of irrigation, the water is allowed to enter the fields through channels or furrows made between two rows of crop.
2) BASIN IRRIGATION: in this method of irrigation the fields is just filled with water .
3)SPRINKLER: it used for conserving water in agriculture in the areas where water is scarcely available.
4)DRIP IRRIGATION: this method is employed when the availability of water is poor .as the water reaches the plant drop by drop this called drip irrigation.
now a days in India the farmers are using drip irrigation and the sprinklers. these are modern methods of irrigation in India.
