The difference between 2 natural number is 73 if the greater number is divided by smalker number the quotient is 4 and remainder is 4 ,then find the numbers?​

Let the numbers be $\huge {x}$ and $\huge {y}$

According to the question,

$\huge {x}$ - $\huge {y}$ = 73

=> $\huge {x}$ = $\huge {y}$ + 73 ...........(i)

And, Using Euclid's Division Lemma

a = b * q + r

$\huge {x}$ = $\huge {y}$ * 4 + 4

=> $\huge {y}$ + 73 = $\huge {y}$ * 4 + 4 (by (i))

=> $\huge {y}$ + 69 = $\huge {y}$ * 4

=> $\huge {y}$ * 3 = 69

=> $\huge {y}$ = 23

putting value of $\huge {y}$ in (i)

=> $\huge {x}$ =96
So the numbers are 96 and 23
