Given that 6 times of that number is -9/7
⇒ 6x = -9/7
⇒ x = (-9/7)/6
⇒ x = -9/7 ×1/6
⇒ x = -3/14 .
Check : 6x = -9/7
⇒6×-3/14 = -9/7
⇒-9/7 = -9/7
Therefore , L.H.S = R.H.S .
