Let, the numbers be x and y

the number at ones place is y

the number at ones place is y

and number on tens place is 10x

the number at ones place is and number on tens place is 10x

so, the digit will be 10x+y

The interchange of digit is =10y+x

It is given the difference between the digit and interchange is 72 so

10x+y−(10y+x)=72

9x−9y=72

9x−9y=72

xy=8
