Cell division is simpler in prokaryotesthan eukaryotes because prokaryotic cells themselves are simpler.Prokaryotic cells have a single circular chromosome, no nucleus, and few other organelles. Eukaryotic cells, in contrast, have multiple chromosomes contained within a nucleus, and many other organelles.
