Let sum = x
R= 10%
T= 2yrs
Ci - si= 600

Si = 20x/100=x/5

Compund insterest...
Si for first year = x/5
Amount for 1st year = x+x/5=6x/5

Si for 2nd year = 24x/100

Amount for 2nd year = 6x/5+24x/100
= 120+24x/100=144x/100

So ci = 44x/100

So,as per question :
44x/100 - x/5 = 300
24x/100 = 300
X = 300*100/24=50*25 = 1250
