Conviction - It is a formal declaration by the verdict of a jury or the decision of a judge in a court of law that someone is guilty of a criminal offence.
The Conviction is an action taken by a Judge sitting on a licensed throne, by keeping the official facts in mind.
For example - The judge, sentencing Salman Khan to Jail for killing the Blackbuck is a form of conviction.

Prejudice - Prejudice towards someone refers to a preconceived opinion taken by anybody towards the accused. It is not based on reason and actual experience. Its just a mental setup conceived by any normal person.
For example - The biased Salman Khan fans have made a mental setup within themselves, that convinces them that Salman hadn't done anything wrong. They also think he was wrongly convicted. This is Prejudice.
