The difference between Ramesh's age and Rachit's age is 10 years .5 year ago,Rachit's age was twice that of Ramesh's. Find their present ages?

Hey mate here's ur answer,

let the present age of Ramesh be x years

and Rachit's present age is be y years

a/c to question,

x-y=10---------------(1)

again a/c to question,

5years ago,

Ramesh's age is(x-5) years

and ranchit's age be (y-5) years

(x-5)=2(y-5)

x-5=2y-10

x-2y=-5 ---------------(2)

now, from eq. 1

x-y=10

x=10+y

put value of x in eq. 2

x-2y=-5=>10+y-2y=-5=>-y=-15

"y= 15"

now, putting the value of y in eq. 1,then

x=10+y=>25

"x=25"

therefore,the present age of Ramesh is 25 years and ranchit's age is 15 years .
