The difference between the ages of 2 cousins is 10 years. 15 years ago, the elder one was twice as old as the younger one. Find their present ages. ​

Let Present age of younger cousin = x

Then age of older cousin ll be = x + 10

15 years ago:

Age of younger cousin = x-15

Age of older cousin = x+10-15 = x-5

According to question,

=> x-5 = 2(x-15)

=> x -5 = 2x -30

=> 2x-x = -5+30

=> x = 25

So age of younger cousin = 25 years

Age of older cousin = 25+10 = 35 years
