Let 1st consecutive number = x
Let 2nd consecutive number = x+1
So,
x+x+1=31
2x+1=31
2x=31-1
x=30/2
x=15
1st consecutive number =x=15
2nd consecutive number=x+1=15+1=16
Let 2nd consecutive number = x+1
So,
x+x+1=31
2x+1=31
2x=31-1
x=30/2
x=15
1st consecutive number =x=15
2nd consecutive number=x+1=15+1=16

Let the first Consecutive Number be X.
Then second number = X+1.
A/Q,
(X)²-(X+1)² = 31
X²-X²+(1)²+2×X×1 = 31
1+2X = 31
2X= 31-1
X= 30/2 = 15.
First Number = 15
and,
Second Number = X+1 = 15+1 = 16
Then second number = X+1.
A/Q,
(X)²-(X+1)² = 31
X²-X²+(1)²+2×X×1 = 31
1+2X = 31
2X= 31-1
X= 30/2 = 15.
First Number = 15
and,
Second Number = X+1 = 15+1 = 16
