let the second radius be X

let the first radius be 2x-1

x²-(2x-1)²-16

x²-4x-4x+1=16

x²-8x-15

x²-3x-5x -15

X(X-3) -5(x-3)

(x-3)(x-5)

x-3=0 or x-5=0

X=3. X=5
