Answer:

One consecutive number = 50

The other consecutive number  = 51

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one of the consecutive number = x

Let the other consecutive number = x+1

So,

According to the question:-

(x+1)^2-(x)^2 = 101

=> x^2 +2x +1 -x^2 = 101

=> 2x = 100

=> x = 50

Hence,

One consecutive number = x = 50

The other consecutive number = x+1 = 51

LET 1ST BE X AND 2ND BE X+1

THE DIFFERENCE IS 101

BY THE PROBLEM,

(X+1)^2V- X^2 = 101

X^2+2X+1-X^2 = 101

2X+1 = 101

2X=100

X = 50

THEREFORE, X+1 = 51
