The difference between two angle is 20* . If these angle are complementary ,Find the angle.​

The two angles are complementary when their sum is equal to 90°.

Let the one angle be 'x' and other angle be 'y'.

AtQ,

Case I

x - y = 20° ....(1)

Case II

x + y = 90° ....(2)

Now,add (1)&(2).

x - y + x + y = 20 + 90

2x = 110

x = 110/2

x = 55°.

On putting the value of x in (2)

55 + y = 90

y = 90 - 55

y = 35°.

Hence, the one angle is 55° & the other is 35°.

Verification:

(i)x - y = 20

55 - 35 = 20.

(ii)x + y = 90

55 + 35 = 90
