The difference between two number is 7 and their sum is 35 what will be their product?

One number be x

Other number be y

Given,

Sum of those numbers is 35

x+y = 35
This is equation 1

Difference of those numbers is 7

x - y = 7
This is equation 2

Solve equation 1 and 2

x+y = 35
x-y = 7

2y = 28

y = 14

Substitute y =14 in equation 1

x+y=35

x+14=35

x=35-14

x=21

Therefore,the two numbers are 21 and 14

The product is

21×14

Given:

The difference between two number is 7.

& Their sum is 35.

To find:

Their product.

Solution:

Let the first number be R &

Let the second number be M.

According to the question:

=) R - M= 7............(1)

=) R + M= 35..........(2)

Elimination Method:

From equation (1), we get;

=) R - M= 7

=) R= 7 +M............(3)

Putting the value of R in equation (2), we get;

=) R+ M= 35

=) 7 + M + M= 35

=) 7 + 2M = 35

=) 2M= 35 - 7

=) 2M= 28

=) M= 28/2

=) M= 14

Now,

Putting the value of M in equation (3), we get;

=) R= 7 + M

=) R= 7 + 14

=) R= 21

Therefore,

Products:

=) R × M

=) 21 × 14

=) 294
