Given that difference between two numbers is 20.

                  x - x/3 = 20
 
                  3x - x/3 = 20

                   2x/3 = 20

                   2x = 60

                   x = 30.

If x =  30 then the other number is x/3 = 30/3 = 10.

The numbers are 30 and 10.
