Let the two numbers be x & y
A/q
x = 3y ......(i)
x-y = 26 ......(ii)
From (i) , we get
x = 3y
&
From (ii) , we get
x-y = 26
y = x-26
So by substituting the value of x in (ii), we get
y = 3y-26
3y -y = 26
2y = 26
y = 26/2 = 13
So, y = 13
& x = 3y = 3 * 13 = 39
So, x = 39
& y = 13
Ok!
