Let the number =x
Let second number =y

x-y=7......(1)

x+6y=77....(2)By elimination method

we get..

-7y=-70
x=70/7

x=10

so the one number is 10

put x=10 in equation (1)

x-y=7

x-10=7

x=7+10

x=17

Hence other number =x=17

hence y=10
x=17

HEY MISS..!!

HERE'S THE ANSWER..

___________________________

♠️ Let greater number be ( x ) and smaller number be ( y )

⏺️ Difference between larger number and smaller number is 7 , here 7 is positive that means larger number minus smaller number is 7 , i.e

✔️ x - y = 7__________( 1 )

⏺️ Six times the smaller plus the larger is 77, i.e

✔️ x + 6 y = 77_________( 2 )

⏺️ Now by Eqn ( 1 )

=> x - y = 7

=> x = 7 + y

⏺️ Putting value of x in eqn ( 2 )

=> x + 6 y = 77

=> 7 + y + 6 y = 77

=> 7 y + 7 = 77

=> 7 y = 77 - 7

=> 7 y = 70

=> [ y = 10 ]

⏺️ Now putting value of y in eqn ( 2 )

=> x + 6 y = 77

=> x + ( 6 × 10 ) = 77

=> x = 77 - 60

=> [ x = 17 ]

♠️ Larger number is 17 , and smaller number is 10 .
