Smaller number be y
Given x-y= 9 -------(1)
X+5y=99 ------(2)
Subtract (1) from (2)
x + 5y = 99
x - y = 9

y = 15

Subtitute y=15 in (1)
(1)=>x-15 =9
x=15+9
x=24

Let the two no.s be x2 and x1. A/Q x2-x1 = 9 ------------ (1)
Now.. 5(x1+x2) = 99 so.. X1+x2 =99/5 -------------- (2)
Now adding (1)&(2).. We get,
2(x2) = 9+99/5 so.. 10(x2)= 144.. So.. x2 = 14.4
Putting x2= 14.4 in (1).. We get.. x1= 14.4 - 9= 5.4
So, the two no.s are 14.4 & 5.4
