Given :- The difference between two positive integer 48 the quotient obtained on dividing one integer by another is 5 .

To Find :- find the two integer ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that , two positive integers are x and y where x > y.

so,

→ x - y = 48

→ x = (48 + y) ----- Eqn.(1)

now,

→ x ÷ y = 5

putting value of x from Eqn.(1),

→ (48 + y) ÷ y = 5

→ (48 + y) = 5 * y

→ 48 = 5y - y

→ 4y = 48

→ y = 12 .

then, again putting value of y in Eqn.(1)

→ x = 48 + 12

→ x = 60 .

therefore, required two positive integers are 60 & 12 .
