Step-by-step explanation:

Let number be n , n>0

Difference between possitive integers =36

Another number be n−36

Quotient when one is divided by another =4

n/n−36

=4

n=4n−144

3n=144

n=48

∴48,12 are the two positive integers.

Let one positive integer be x.

⇒Other integer=x-36.

Quotient when x is divided by (x-36)=4

According to the question:

\frac{x}{x-36}=4

x−36

x

=4

⇒x=4(x-36)x=4(x−36)

⇒x=4x-144x=4x−144

⇒4x-x=1444x−x=144

⇒3x=1443x=144

x= \frac{144}{3} =48x

 =48x

1st no=48 and 2nd no:48-36=12

Ans:The required integers are 48 and 12.
