Answer:

The two integers are 12 and 48

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

The difference between two positive integers is 36.the quotient when one is divided by other is 4.

To find:-

find the integers.

Solution:-

Let the two integers =X and Y

Their difference of two positive integers=36

=>X-Y=36-------(1)

The quotient when one is divided by other is 4.

=>X/Y=4

=>X=4Y---------(2)

Substitute the value of X in (1)

=>4Y-Y=36

=>3Y=36

=>Y=36/3

=>Y=12

and Substitute the value of Y in (2)

=>X=4(12)

=>X=48

Answer:-

The two integers are 12 and 48

Check:-

1)Their difference=48-12=36

2)48/12=4
