Given info : the difference between two positive integers is 48. The quotient on dividing one integer by another is 5.

To find : the two integers are ..

Solution : let a and b are two positive integers. Where a > b

difference of two numbers = 48

⇒a - b = 48

⇒a = b + 48

again, if a is divided by b, gives quotient = 5

⇒a/b = 5

⇒(b + 48) = 5b

⇒b = 48/4 = 12

and a = b + 48 = 12 + 48 = 60

Therefore the value of two Integers are 60 and 12.
