Here Is your answer

x-y=5
x=5+y-----> 1

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  = 169
(2y + 5) {}^{2}  =   \frac{ + }{ - } \sqrt{169}
2y + 5 =  \frac{ + }{ - } 13
2y =  - 5 + 13
 \frac{2y}{2}  =  \frac{8}{2}
y = 4
2y =  - 5 - 13
 \frac{2y}{2}  =   \frac{ - 18}{2}
y =  - 9Ignore Negative sign

Y=4

Answer:9&5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the first number be x

And other number be y.

From given first condition

x - y = 5 ..............(1)

From 2nd condition

(X+Y)2=169

Taking square root on both sides.

x+y =13.................(2)

Addind eqn 1 &2

x-y =5

+ x+y=13

--------------

2x. =18

:. x= 18/2

:. x=9

Put x=9 in eq 2 ; we get

:. 9+y=13

:. y=13-9

:. y = 4

:. THE TWO NUMBERS ARE 9 and 4.
