let woman age =x
let his son age =y
according to question
x-y=19 ---------------------------eqn 1
x+y=37 ----------'---------------eqn 2
eqn 1 + eqn 2
we get
2x = 56
x = 28
> mother age =x = 28
using value of x in eqn 1
i.e x-y =19
28-y =19
28-19=y
y =9
》 age of son =y= 9
