Obviously here, the difference in the formula and molecular masses of Methanol and Ethanol is CH2 and 14 units( 12+1+1 units of one carbon and two hydrogen) since, they both belong to the same homologous series of alcohols.

Any two consecutive members of a homologous series differ in formula by -CH2 and 14 units.

Hope this helps you !
