Answer:

Let one angle be x

Then,

Its complementary angle will be =(90-x)

ATQ,

x-(90-x)=12

x-90+x=12

x+x=12+90

2x=102

x=102/2

x=51

Thus,

x=51

(90-x)=(90-51)=39

Answer

The two complementary angles are 39° and 51°.

Explanation

Given

The difference in the measure of two complementary angle is 12 degree.

To Find

The measure of the angle.

Solution

We know that Complementary angle = 180°.

Let the two complementary angles be x° and y° respectively .

According to the question,

x° + y° = 90° --------- Equation (1)

x° - y° = 12° ------------ Equation (2)

adding equations (1 ) and ( 2).......

( x° + y°) + ( x° - y° ) = 90° + 12°

=> x° + x° + y° - y° = 102°

=> 2x° = 102°

=> x° = 51°

¤ Substituting the value of x in equation ( 1 )

x° + y° = 90°

=> 51° + y° = 90 °

=> y° = 90° - 51°

=> y° = 39°

Therefore,

The two complementary angles are 39° and 51°.
