Let ;

The angles be x , y

Difference in the measure of two complementary angles = 22°

x - y = 22° ----- ( 1 )

Sum of two Complementary Angles = 90°

x + y = 90° ----- ( 2 )

Elimination Method :

x - y = 22°

x + y = 90°

2x = 112

---------------

x = 112 / 2

x = 56°

Hence ;

Substitute x value in Equation ( 1 ) ;

x - y = 22°

56° - y = 22°

56° - 22° = y

y = 34°

Hence ;

Other angles ( y ) = 34°

Checking :

Substitute x & y values in the Equation ( 2 ) ;

x + y = 90°

56° + 34°

90°
