GIVEN :

Difference between the measure of two complementary angles = 12°

Let the angles be x° and y°

We know that,

Sum of two Complementary angles = 90°

Then,

x + y = 90° -----(1)

x - y = 12° ------(2)

Solve both equations.

x + y + x - y = 90 + 12

2x = 102

x = 102/2

x = 51°

Substitute x in eq - (1)

51 + y = 90

y = 90 - 51

y = 39°

One angle is = x = 51°

Another angle = y = 39°

Therefore, the two angles are 51° and 39°.

Step-by-step explanation:

One angle = x

Other angle = x + 12

x + (x + 12) = 90 degrees

2x + 12 = 90

2x = 90 - 12

2x =78

X=39

One angle =x=39

Other angle =x+12

=39 +12

=51
