Given:

The difference in the measures of two supplementary angle is 60°.

To find:

The measure of the angles.

Explanation:

We know that, the sum of two angles is 180° is called supplementary angle.

=) R+ M= 180°...............(1)

According to the question:

=) R -M= 60°

=) R= 60° +M...........(2)

Putting the equation (2) in equation (1), we get;

=) 60° +M+ M= 180°

=) 60° + 2M= 180°

=) 2M=180° -60°

=) 2M= 120°

=) M= 120°/2

=) M= 60°

Putting the value of M in equation (2), w we get;

=) R= 60 + M

=) R= 60° + 60°

=) R= 120°

Thus,

The angle R is 120°

The angle M is 60°
