The difference in the reading of a Fahrenheit and Celsius scale is 48 degree what are the actual reading shown in each thermometer.

Explanation:

There are two equations :-

F = 1.8C + 32 (1)

F - C = 48 (2)

Solving these two simultaneous equations, we get,

C = 20

Hence, F = 68.
