Let  \: the \:  Number  \: be  \: 10x+y

Given  \:  ,  \:  \: x-y = 3

Also

10 - x + 27 = 10x + y

 - 17 - x = 10x + y

 - 17 - x - 10x = y

 - 17 - 11x = y

Put \:  Value \:  of  \: Y  \: in  \: Above

x - y = 3

x - ( - 17 - 11x) = 3

x + 17 + 11x = 3

12x = 3 - 17

12x =  - 14

x =  \frac{ - 14}{12}

x =  \frac{ - 7}{6}
