$Given \: , \: \: x-y = 3$

$Also$

$10 - x + 27 = 10x + y$

$- 17 - x = 10x + y$

$- 17 - x - 10x = y$

$- 17 - 11x = y$

$Put \: Value \: of \: Y \: in \: Above$

$x - y = 3$

$x - ( - 17 - 11x) = 3$

$x + 17 + 11x = 3$

$12x = 3 - 17$

$12x = - 14$

$x = \frac{ - 14}{12}$

$x = \frac{ - 7}{6}$
