Answer:

Let the tens digit be x and the ones digit be y. Also, we can rearrange the conditions into a more coherent order.

the units digit is greater than the tens digit

The difference between the digits of a two-digit number is 1.

The number itself is 1 more than 5 times the sum of its digits.

So y-x=1. This also means that y=x+1.

10x+y=5x+5y+1

Substite in what was derived for the value of y.

10x+(x+1)=5x+5(x+1)+1

10x+x+1=5x+5x+5+1

11x+1-1=10x+6-1

11x-10x =10x-10x+5

x=5

and since y=x+1, y=6

So the number is 56.
