let the integers be x and y

given x-y= 30

Given one is (-5) that is X = (-5)

so -5-y = 30

=> -y = 30 + 5 = 35

=> y = -35

hope it helps mark as brainliest

ayan98542: -5-(-35)= -5+35 = 30

Given: The difference between two integers is 30 and that one of the integers is (-5).

To find: The other integer.

Answer:

Let's represent the two integers as x and y.

So x - y = 30.

Now, let's substitute x as one of the values which is (-5).

So, (-5) - y = 30.

NOTE:

  • When bringing a +ve term to the other side, it becomes -ve.
  • When bringing a -ve term to the other side, it becomes +ve.
  • When adding 2 +ve integers, its sign remains +ve.
  • When adding a -ve and a -ve integer, subtract it and put the sign of the integer with greater value.
  • When adding 2 -ve integers, add it and put the -ve sign.

-y = 30 + 5

-y = 35

y = -35
