Hi , there !!
let the number be " x "
let the number be " y " .
now ,
cases , possible
x-y = 11
or
y - x = 11 -------------------------- eq (1)
now ,
according to your question
1/5 ( x + y ) = 9
x + y = 45 ----------------------- eq ( 2)
or
similarly
y - x = 45 --------------------------(3)
from equation 1 and 2
we have ,
x - y = 11
x + y = 45
=========
2x = 56
x = 23
y = 12
similarly from equation 1 and 3
x - y = 11
y + x = 45
=========
x = 23
and y = 12
hence , value of. x = 23 , y =12 in both the cases .
hence , x =23
y = 12
hope it helps !!!
thanks !!!
