Arbitration is a sort of Alternative Dispute Resolution process. There are many types of Arbitration that includes

(i) Voluntary Arbitration

(ii) Compulsory Arbitration

(iii) Institutional Arbitration

(iv) International or Domestic Arbitration

(v) Ad-hoc Arbitration

(vi) Statutory Arbitration, and

(vii) Foreign Arbitration.

Voluntary arbitration is the best form as both parties can stay satisfied by exercising it.

The awards may also not be binding or necessary to accept. The worst form of arbitration is Compulsory Arbitration as important industries can be involved in it, there is an ill-balance, deprives parties of their fundamental rights and leaves no scope for any lockouts or strikes.
