X-Y=58 .............(1)
=>X=58+Y
Let X be the bigger number and Y be the smaller number. Then,
ATQ,
X+28=Yx3 ...............(2)
Putting the value of X in equation (2)
58+Y+28=Yx3
=>80+Y=3Y
=>80=3Y-Y
=>80=2Y
=>80/2=Y
=>40=Y
Putting the value of Y in equation (1)
X-40=58
=>X=58+40
=>X=98
X-Y=58 .............(1)
=>X=58+Y
