the diffrence between two whole number is 66.the ratio of two number is 2:5.find the two whole number

Let numbers be 2x and 5x respectively
given
$5x - 2x = 66 \\ 3x = 66 \\ x = 66 \div 3 \\ x = 22$
Now 2x = 2 × 22 = 44
5x = 5 × 22 = 110.

According to the question :

Their difference = 66

5x - 2x               = 66

3x                      = 66

x                        = 66/3 

x                        = 22

Numbers are 5(22) = 110 and 2(22) = 44
