As per the first condition,

x - y = 12° ------(i)

As per the second condition,

x + y = 90° (as they are complementary) ---(ii)

Adding (i) and (ii), we get...

2x = 102°

x = 102 ÷ 2

x = 51° -----(iii)

substituting (iii) in (ii), we get...

(51) + y = 90°

y = 90 - 51

y = 39°

Therefore, the two angles are 51° and 39°.
